THE SUNDAY POST #33 | 2016 GOALS

2015 wasn't my best year, both in terms of blogging and my personal life. I considered writing a round up post, but realised I didn't want to re live the year, I just want to forget it and move on into 2016. Here are a few goals for the new year:

001. Personal | Last year I rediscovered the importance of good friends; I met a bunch of lovely new people and reconnected with old friends, and they became my support network through tough times. This year my main priority is making sure I always have time for the people that matter, and to never neglect those relationships.

002. Blog | This year I'd love to focus on creating new and exciting content, and always challenging myself to work on new projects and posts. I find it easy to get stuck in a rut with my blog, and I fell out of love with it towards the end of last year. Hopefully regular outfit and style posts will make more of a feature on the blog, as well as an improved instagram feed.

003. Career | This is my last year in full time education, and I really want to make it count. I didn't achieve the grade I wanted at university, so I have to do better this year. I've been trying to study more as I go along, rather than leaving it all to the week before exams. I'm also hoping secure a training contract and some more work experience this year.

004. Fitness | One of my main inspirations recently has been Amy Lyons, you can read all about her fitness journey here. Whilst I lost a stone and a half last year, I'm not much stronger or more flexible, and those are the things I'd love to work on in 2016. I didn't lose weight in a healthy way, and I want to be able to say that I'm strong and healthy, rather than just being thin.

005. Goals I achieved in 2015 | Over the course of the year I lost a stone and a half and managed to fit into lots of old clothes that had been sitting in storage. I graduated from uni, despite believing for a long time that I couldn't do it. I fulfilled my blog goals from this post here, but only for the first half of the year, and all of them still have room for improvement.

What are your 2016 goals?

  2. Hi Nisha,

Are you doing postgraduate study now? I am too - but part time alongside work. :)

Good luck with your blogging this year - I fell out of love with my blog too towards the end of last year. But inspiration and passion can be revived and the blogging community can be amazing for boosting your mood. :)

Here's to friendships, old and new! I hope you have a fabulous 2016 and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the coming months.
