DESK BEAUTY STAPLES

BEAUTY PRODUCTS FOR WORK
Having started a new course with a crazy intense workload, I'm spending a lot of time at my desk once again and I like to keep a few beauty essentials on hand. Firstly, Soap & Glory Hand Food is my go to hand cream; I love the scent and how quickly it sinks in so you can get back to work. The Dr Jart+ Water Act Skin Mist is a fantastic way to hydrate skin throughout the day, and refresh a tired and aching head. It leaves skin feeling cool and not at all sticky. I use the Boots Botanics Super Balm on everything from my lips to dry patches. My nails have never been in the best condition, so every time I have a YouTube break I like to apply Sally Hansen Vitamin E Cuticle Oil and massage it in. This softens my cuticles and strengthens nails, and although it doesn't sink in quickly it really helps when you're typing all day.

Whilst it's not strictly a beauty staple, I always like to have a candle burning whilst I work. Recently I've been loving the 'Happiness' candle from Neom. White neroli, mimosa and lemon make for such an uplifting scent, which really gets you in the mood to work productively. This pretty teacup washi tape is from paperchase, and I've used it to decorate everything from my lecture notes to my wall.

Make sure you have a plant on your desk too. Cacti, succulents and bamboo are all low maintenance but add a bit of green to your workspace. What are your desk essentials?

  4. Love your set up! I don't have a real plant at my desk, but I did go mad at the Ikea fake flowers section so I have loads of big pink flowers everywhere :) I really want to try that skin mist, sounds just what I need during thesis writing. I tend to stick to Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for my hands, pricey but worth it.

  6. How cute is that tape! And agreed, hand cream and lip balm is a must. At the moment I don't have a desk (which can be a bit of a nightmare) as my house is 'under construction'. But when I do, I can't wait to decorate it with plants and stationary and make it look pretty. =D
