THE SUNDAY POST #28

001. I was back up in Manchester for a few days this week, and having never ventured further than the city centre, we decided to go and explore Didsbury. We ended up stopping for lunch in Thyme Out Deli, and oh god their bacon, maple syrup and vanilla milkshake was amazing. L had a fantastic halloumi and mushroom burger which I ate quite a bit of as unfortunately I didn't love my own food. For dinner we planned to go to Bourbon & Black but as they were quite busy we headed across the road to Croma. I've wanted to go here since I saw Victoria rave about it in this post and it didn't disappoint. The chorizo and black pudding bruschetta is amazing, and the pizzas were delicious and so affordable.

002. It's coming up to the anniversary of my dad's death, and I can't believe time is moving on so quickly. I've had some really positive reactions to my post on self care and this post I wrote quite soon after, and I'd love to write a few more similar pieces. Quite a bit of stuff has been going on with me and uni/ graduation too, and I've been drafting up a lot of advice and my experience type posts.. Let me know if you'd be interested in reading these?

003. We also ended up at Moose again, it's fast becoming my favourite place for breakfast in the city. I tucked into my first ever breakfast burrito, which was packed full of scrambled egg, black beans, lettuce and avocado. It's something I can see myself recreating as a weekend brunch.

004. Having been slowly falling out of love with my blog/ doubting my ability 'as a blogger' for the past few months I've decided a rebrand is in order. Not only am I going for a design change, I'm also considering changing my blog name from 'How I Wear' to 'nishKpatel'. This is already my domain name, and the name I use across all my social media, so it wouldn't really be a huge transition, and using my own name would fit in a lot better with my bit of everything blog. Thoughts?

005. These flowers and the statue of Lord Ganesh were from a wedding I went to at the The Grove in Hertfordshire in Hertfordshire. It was a lovely venue, so light and decorated beautifully with flowers, with no need for anything else. The day got me really excited for my own cousins wedding, which is only a few weeks away now. Indian weddings can last for a week or longer, with lots of different ceremonies and plenty of opportunities to hang out with family, eat good food and just have fun!

  1. Love the rebrand idea, it definitely would fit in with your blog, as like you say there is a bit of everything on here :) I'm also a Moose lover, although the queues can be insane! I do love a breakfast burrito, so easy to make yourself too!

    1. It's something I've been thinking about for a while, I'm really looking forward to having a change too! We went on a Thursday morning, around 10am and there was no queue but most people would probably be in work by then x

  4. I love exploring Didsbury! It's one place I rarely go, but when I do I just love the community and village feel. Plus they have so many lovely restaurants, cafes and independent shops which all offer so many nice things. Good luck with your re-brand! I've been thinking about doing one but really can't decide on a blog name and feel it would be such a huge task. I'd love to hear your experience about blogging and how things go with your re-brand. Hope you have a great week :)

    1. I completely agree, it was so nice to get out of the city and just enjoy a bit more of a village atmosphere but still with plenty to do.. Thanks Marianna, I think it will be a long process but I'm looking forward to it and I'll definitely do a post or two about my experiences. Hope you're having a lovely week x
