To achieve that summery fresh-skin glow, I've been turning my attention to citrus products. Citrus has a high vitamin content, improves circulation and has a fresh and uplifting scent, making it perfect for use in skincare. Products containing lemon, grapefruit and orange contain natural acids, which help to exfoliate the skin, removing dead cells and allowing skin to be refreshed. Citric acid is also antibacterial, keeping skin clean and preventing breakouts.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel is a gentle introduction to skin peels, suitable for even the most sensitive of skin. Natural chemical exfoliants from the papaya and pineapple dissolve dirt and dead skin cells, without any of the manual exfoliation stage. You simply leave on for 10-15 minutes, rinse off and find that the enzymes have done all the hard work for you, leaving skin soft and radiant. What's not to love?

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion is a fine grained, zingy exfoliant with an uplifting citrus scent. This is the only exfoliator I let near my face as the particles are not too rough for delicate facial skin. Used once a week it reduces under-the-skin bumps, blackheads and dark marks, which leaves skin looking fresh and clear.

Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Glow Boost Skin Serum. A light and easily absorbed everyday serum, this adds a subtle glow to your face, making it look bright and awake. Long-term, I wouldn't say this product improves my skin, but used under makeup it provides that glow-from-within look.

Have you ever tried any citrus products?
