PRIMARK NUDE POLISH

I'd never normally buy nail polish from Primark, but this little nude quartet was sitting by the checkout and at only £2, who would say no? They don't have names, but I'll just talk about them from l-r.

The white polish is opaque after two coats, which isn't bad for the price. I tend to use this for nail art, for example when applying spots with a dotting tool over another colour. The second shade is a nudey pink with a hint of shimmer running through it when it hits the light. This is one of my favourites from the range as it goes on so well and doesn't even need a second coat. I'm not normally a fan of shimmer polish either, but this is really subtle. The third polish is pretty unique addition to my collection. It's a khaki grey, muddy kind of colour, which looks a lot better on than it sounds. This polish is the streakist of the set, taking a few coats to become opaque. Finally, my favourite shade is an inky blue grey, with a purple undertone. This is the darkest shade, and it's opaque with just one coat. Add a topcoat for extra shine and maybe some glitter polish on top of an accent nail and you have a perfect evening look.

Whilst most of the polishes aren't the quickest drying and require two coats, they are still better than you'd expect for 50p a polish. The pigmentation is great and a decent topcoat helps them last for a few days. These are great for travelling as they are so tiny, and would also make a perfect gift.

What do you think? Will you be picking up some Primark nail polish?

  1. Primark is taking over the world! Cheap as chips when some polishes are like £15 for one!

  6. I love the grey colour but I can't be bothered with multiple coats for opacity. I'd rather pay more!

  10. I am quite lazy when it comes to coats of nail polish too, but I hate it when you pay a lot for nail polish and you still need multiple coats x

  14. Do you know of any dupes for the pink colour? I have a bottle of it that's nearly run out and I can't find it anywhere! I wish they would sell it on its own, because I really need a new bottle but even if I do find a set I don't really wanna buy it because I only want the one polish
