DRUGSTORE OILS

Since oils hit the beauty world a few years back, I've tried everything from Moroccan oil to plain old olive. Leaving aside those from the kitchen cupboard, here are my top three drugstore picks.

Bio Oil (£5.99) is my forever-repurchased, beauty cupboard essential. I use this to reduce acne scarring, soothe and moisturise dry patches and add dewiness to my skin by adding a drop to my foundation. It works on everything from a dry scalp to ragged cuticles, and everything in between.

Argan 5 Precious Oil Elixir (£12.99) Like Bio Oil, this product claims to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and other blemishes. I don't find that it makes any difference to scarring on my skin, however I like to add a few drops of this to my bath/ moisturiser/ hair masque for an intense boost of moisture and a luxurious spa-like feel.

L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil (£8.49) is the best highstreet alternative to Moroccanoil I've ever tried, and I've tried a few. Use this pre-wash to give your hair a deep treatment, or when styling to add shine and smooth frizz.

Do you use oils in your beauty routines? Which ones are your favourites?

  1. I love Argon oils, I'm a little bit obsessed with my Body Shop oil that my partner bought me for my birthday.
