NEW HAIRCARE PURCHASES

Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray is a classic product that has always been on my wishlist, but I never managed to justify the price tag and pick up the full size. When I saw the 50ml bottle at Cheshire Oaks for £7 (usually £9.50), I didn't hesitate to pop it in my basket. I love when brands offer smaller size products; not only are they handy for travelling, but a great way to test out how good the product is without forking out full price.

The first time I used this I sprayed (too much) onto wet hair and left to dry naturally, which did nothing except leave me with a frizzy, product loaded mop head. I've found I like to wash my hair, apply hair oil/ heat protectant to the ends, roughly blow dry and then spritz on when my hair is around 70% dry. I then take a diffuser attachment and dry my hair fully, using my fingers to muss my hair up. This leaves me with frizz-free beachy waves.

I picked up this L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Masque after reading Jane's review. She goes into the science behind it, so definitely worth a read. I originally considered getting the shampoo and conditioner, but then I realised I had enough of those to last me a year! I've been using the masque once a week for a few weeks now, and I can't say for certain that it's made my hair thicker, but it feels fuller and more voluminous. Not to mention it leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy.

Philip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Conditioner is a sample sized product I got in my February Birchbox. After using (and loving) the Elasticizer, I had high hopes for this conditioner. Whilst it leaves my hair feeling soft and light, it's definitely not a product I would spend £19 on. I feel that my usual L'Oreal or John Frieda conditioners do just as good a job.

Have you used any of these products? What did you think?
